Gili Lonta Bon Fire and Barbecue Hangi and Yacht (or Tender) raft up. Depart Marina at 1600 PM head North East 2.5 NM to our deserted island (watch out for the grumpy monkey) good anchoring in Sand between the Mainland and the island. Row, swim or tender ashore for a Drinks and a feast of local fish cooked island style.

Gili Island Yacht Race Stern chaser.

Get a chance to race the local fishing fleet around Gili Gede, first boat wins a special price, starts at 1400 hrs between a transit point on the Marina Pontoons and the Flagpole and the finish is the same. Local Village expertise available on request. (it’s a good way to mix with the local kids who we are wanting to encourage to take up the sport as we wait the arrival of our Optimist Fleet where we plan to do inter-change with other Yacht Clubs in Australia and Abroad.

Narmada Temple – Full Day

There are a number of interesting temples around the west coast, many of which are Hindu or ancient animist sites of worship.  Taman Narmada (or Narmada Park) in Narmada, was created in the late 1800’s as a replica of Gunung Rinjani and its crater lake.  The gardens at Narmada are beautifully maintained and surround the pools and lake in this cool hillside setting. Rp 175,000.00PP

OPTION 2.

Earthenware Pottery and Ikat – Sukarara and Banyumulek – Full Day Lombok is famous for its traditional earthenware pottery made from local clay with distinctive designs, as well as hand-woven sarongs and fabrics (ikat).  Weavers work outside many of the shops, using antiquated “back strap looms” to painstakingly produce works of art.  Some of the larger pieces can take several months to weave and collectors from around the world visit these villages to purchase blankets, sarongs and cloth produced here.  Banyumulek is an important centre for pottery on Lombok.  The small village has many shops selling pottery produced in the area, as well as from other main pottery-making villages.  Lombok pottery, with its distinctive terracotta styles, is famous internationally and is exported through out  the world.  Rp 175,000.00PP
